Nail HQ Growth Treatment Review

Up Your Nail Game With The Nail HQ Growth Treatment

I like to tell people I’m a reformed nail biter. It took me years and years, and countless failed attempts to stop biting my nails, but I have eventually managed it at nearly 27 years old! I still have the odd relapse, but I limit it to one nail and only on very stressful occasions. Ok, that’s not as ‘reformed’ as I like to think, but never mind. Needless to say though, all those years of chewing at them until they bled have left them in a rather pathetic state.

So, Nail HQ were kind enough to send me their new nail growth treatment product, in the hopes it would make my poor, abused nails come back to life. Nail HQ claim that their products are for nails that “refuse to grow, or are dehydrated and brittle” which is pretty much exactly what happens to nails when you’ve bitten them for twenty years! But, does it really help?

The great thing about this product is that it contains Biotin, which is an essential aid in the growth of hair, skin and nails. It’s also caffeine infused, which as anyone who knows me will tell you, pleases me no end as I’m a huge fan of coffee based skin care. Nail HQ also say that all these lovely ingredients help your nails grow faster, as well as healthier. Well, I’ve not had long enough to notice if my nails are growing faster, but the initial signs are very positive.

My nails are paper thin; they snap, bend, split, you name it, they do it. And they take forever to recover from any biting relapses or damage done to them. Since using Nail HQ Growth though, I have found them to be stronger, and I can tell it’s doing some good because my nail colour isn’t chipping and peeling off as my nails bend! For a while now I’ve not bothered with my nails as any manicure just falls apart as soon as I break a nail, but so far, ten days or so of testing have proved this little bottle to be pretty effective.

Granted it’s not much of a visible difference, but my nails really do feel healthier and stronger. I’m really excited to keep using this product to see if it does help them grow faster too! I really like Nail HQ’s philosophy that nails should be as well taken care of as hair and skin, it speaks to me as a woman who’s trying her best to have a manicure that lasts for more than two hours! And with this product, it definitely seems like that’s possible; my nails feel stronger, my nail colour lasts longer as a result, and because it simply paints on like any polish, it’s super easy to use and to include in your manicure routine.

There is one thing I’m not so keen on with this product – it seems to smell a fair bit stronger than normal nail polish or other treatments I’ve had in the past. It’s the same smell, just stronger; it could just be me, but I found myself getting a bit of a headache after a while. That being said, it’s been such a long time since I used anything on my nails, it’s possible I’ve just lost my resilience to the smell of it!

The Nail HQ treatment range is available to purchase online via the Amazon website here

All in all, I really like this product and can’t wait to see what long term good it does to my nails! Have you tried this product? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
