Toni&Guy Smooth Definition Mask Review

Toni&Guy Smooth Definition Mask Review

toni and guy smooth defintion hair mask

As someone who has thick, frizzy hair and lots of it, I need something that is going to give my hair back some of its moisture. Before I go any further, I do have a small confession to make... I don't normally use conditioner in my hair. This is because it turns my lovely and freshly washed hair into a greasy mess and what's worse is I can never actually get the conditioner fully rinsed out. This had permanently put me off using any form of conditioning product on my hair but that has all changed now that I've found this product...

The mask, by Toni&Guy, comes in a gorgeous white tub which is so perfect for an Instagram photo (heehee) but in all honesty, I would have preferred it to come in a tube as the tub made it quite hard to use in the shower, but this is the only issue I had with the product. This is my personal opinion though so I know many may not have an issue with the packaging.

The mask itself has a syrupy texture and is similar in a lot of ways to some smoothing serums that I've tried over the years. Although I think with the product being in a tub, I used more of the product than is really intended.

I applied the mask on the hair below my scalp and left it on for a few minutes. This gave me the opportunity to give my face a good exfoliate at the same time.

Rinsing the mask out wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I did manage to get it all out of my hair, which felt like a miracle at the time. Knowing that the Toni&Guy smooth definition mask actually works means that it's a product that I will definitely keep using.

After my shower, I blow-dried my hair as normal and although it felt smoother (probably down to the infused keratin in the product), I still needed to straighten it and use a smoothing serum to get it how I like it. I do feel, however, that this is down to how much hair I have and is possibly a reflection of the condition that it's actually in. Hopefully, after a few more uses I won't need to use as much heat in order to style my hair to the way I like it.

Overall, I absolutely love the mask and what it does for my hair!
