Christian Louboutin Perfumes: Smelling Like Red Bottoms?

Christian Louboutin Launches 3 Perfumes

Perfume has always been a way of attaining luxury without shelling out for ready to wear or handbags or shoes. Everyone can own a spritz of Gucci, Dior or Chanel under £100...but not Louboutin perfumes. Christian Louboutin decided to branch out into the beauty industry in 2014 with the launch of their Louboutin lipsticks -glorious, in stunningly fierce packaging that looked like a vial of delicious potion from a Disney film...for £60 a pop. Then came the nail polishes, standing tall and glossy with the lid of the polish as high as the highest heel Louboutin offers - again, ferocious and beautiful...for £36 each.

Louboutin has not been one for a good deal as per the brand's previous track record and not straying away from they formula any time soon the brand announced the launch of three perfumes. 50ml of these deliciously intoxicatingly scents will send you back £215 - at the high end of Tom Ford's perfume range - meaning this may be one perfume that will be on the Wishlist for a long while.

The three perfumes are: Bikini Questa Sera, Trouble in Heaven (described as "the smell of expensive lingerie on a jet" intriguing...) and Tornade Blonde. I will be the first to go on record saying I have no idea (apart from the second scent) what any of those names mean. Louboutin himself seems to have figured out that the price is a little steep and has attempted to justify his price point by saying that his perfume is an investment and "it's not something she [the perfume buyer] throws out in three weeks".

I have to mention the bottle. It's glorious and beautiful and even more than what I expected for the brand - the bottle is sexy, alluring and mysterious - everything we love about Louboutin. Let's be honest, £215 is not a bad price to make me feel like I'm lounging around a jet in expensive lingerie (almost a 2-for-1)...but is it too much to just make me smell like it? I'll have to see for myself...
