Theo's Simple Italian | A Taste Of Italy In The Heart Of London

Have you ever wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of London, to a place that exudes relaxation, good food and the best service? Look no further guys, I am here to tell you all about the little gem that is Theo's Simple Italian.

Based in London's Earls Court, it is a two minute walk from the station and the busy bodies that pound the pavement, it is like a whole different world once you walk through the doors. The d├ęcor is sleek and minimal with a touch of 70's and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Theo's Simple Italian is founded by Michelin star chef Theo Randall, who you may have seen on shows such as Saturday Kitchen for example. The restaurant is located within the Hotel Kensington Indigo and celebrates the best of casual Italian dining.

We were welcomed with a glass of wine each as we perused the menu which was made up of seasonal meals, there is definitely something for everyone here. We started with Polenta chips and Calamari which were both so amazing, take it from me when I say the Calamari was beautiful, it is not something I would usually eat but I couldn't seem to get enough.

We couldn't wait to get started on our main meals, make sure you try the sea bream. The most beautifully seasoned fish I have ever taken a bite from, cooked to perfection and no bones for thorough enjoyment.

Do not be fooled by the portion sizes, I considered ordering a side with my main but I was glad I didn't, by the end I was stuffed.

Of course there is always room for dessert.

In true Italian fashion I had to go for the Chocolate Millefoglie - which is pretty much puff pastry with a creamy chocolate mousse with a berry coulis. For extra tastiness and even those of you who have special dietary requirements can feast on all of this goodness with their gluten free options.

Win Win, Right?

The food was fresh, beautifully seasoned and more importantly very filling. You can get a three course meal for approximately £30 per person which I think Is an amazing price point for a restaurant of such epic quality.

Overall, we rate this restaurant a 4/5

Many thanks to Theo's Simple Italian for having us!
