Spring Beauty | Spring Pinks

It's finally Spring, which means I like to shake-up my makeup stash a little!
I say goodbye to the dark vampy makeup, and switch into some Spring appropriate shades.
This year I've been attempting to delve into a colour that I usually don't guessed it, PINK!

I have pale skin with pink undertones, so I sometimes I feel as though pink can look a little too much as it tends to bring out the redness in my skin - when that's something that I want to hide. However, I've found some shades of pink that really compliment my skin and make me feel bright and ready for the sun to shine!

I bought this lipstick in the Autumn, as I swatched it in store and instantly knew that I was going to get a lot of use out of it in Spring. And now that Spring is well and truly here, I've worn this so much as it's a really subtle colour that compliments my skin tone perfectly.
I think that this lipstick, paired with some bold brows and some neutral eye make up is such a great look! It perfectly replicates that whole 'model off duty' look - Which is amazing, why wouldn't you want to look like you're effortlessly stunning?

This is definitely something that's a little out there for me.
Personally, I would never have thought that I'd use pink eyeshadows in my life. However I've been having a lot of fun creating looks with this Mac Paint Pot. You may already know if you read my blog, I adore them!
The consistency is just so easy to work with and you can use them on their own for a quick wash of colour, or use them as a base for a dramatic evening look.
I've been using this as a base colour for my lids, and then blending some soft warm browns into the crease, which may sound a little bizarre as we're dealing with pinks here but trust me, it just works!

Cream blushes can really be hit and miss. I find that sometimes if the texture and consistency is off, they're just a recipe for disaster. I have however found some cream blushes that create a super natural, dewy look to the skin like none I've tried before!
First of all, we've got the Stila Cream Blush in Peony!
I love Stila as a brand. I think their products are amazing for the price and I do put my trust in them for a lot of things. This blush is such a beautiful colour, and to apply I use a stippling brush on the apples of my cheeks and it just brightens up my face!
Next we've got the Topshop blush in Flush.
This blush looks super scary and outrageous in the pan, however it's really not! I use this with a stippling brush as I do with the Stila blush, and apply it in the same way.
This blush just creates the perfect natural flushed look to the cheeks, which I think is perfect for Spring.

This is a lipstick that I class as being a more 'statement' lipstick for the spring.
It's a pink-ish red that looks amazing with a brown smokey eye and of course a cocktail in hand!
The colour is really pigmented, although it looks similar in colour to the Bobbi Brown lipstick, this Nars one is SO true to colour.
I sometimes pat this onto the lips for a lip stain effect, which is perfect for an everyday look. However I much prefer it on an evening and pair it with Mac's Half Red lipliner which looks incredible! If you're wanting an alternative to red this season, this is the lipstick you should go for.
