Let’s face it, life can be pretty hectic with work, social life and day to day commitments. We can get bogged down with having too much on and sometimes feel overwhelmed. Trust me, I have had  those days in the past when I felt like screaming because I had so much going on and couldn't think straight. I'm going to share with you some of the things you can do to have a clutter free life and realign a sense of calm.

Clear out your emails

Regularly go through your inbox and delete unnecessary emails, clear out you junk mail folder and empty your email bin/trash folder. There is absolutely no point in hanging on to emails you have already responded to and no longer need. Organize the emails you do need into folders so you can find them easily when they are required.

Write it down

Take a trip to a stationary shop and pick yourself up a journal, note book or note pad whichever one your prefer. Every morning upon rising write down whatever thoughts pop into your head. Writing things down is a great way to start off your day and allows you to have some head space. Before you go to sleep each night write down three things that went well during the day and one thing you want to work on. Get things of your chest and refocus on what's important.

A clean environment is a tranquil one

Keep your living space clean and tidy. A clean environment allows you to enjoy calm, peace and relaxation. Get rid of old things you don’t need, there are lots of websites where you can sell or donate your pre-owned items, such as; ebay, depop and gumtree. Utilize these and clear some much needed space.

Keep your handbag organised

There's nothing worse than a gorgeous handbag filled with rubbish. An organised bag is a fabulous one, it's time to clear out those old receipts, chocolate wrappers and crumbs.Get yourself a bag organizer and clean out your bag on a regular basis. As women we often carry around loads of stuff we actually don't need thinking it may come in handy at some point. Only carry what you need and keep your bag clutter free.

Let it go and grow

Get rid of toxic influences, if it's getting you down let it be gone. Whether it be a person that's spews nothing but negative energy, an environment that makes you feel down or a toxic habit that's just keeping you back from progressing. Release it, let it go, and take some time to grow as a person. Don't forget, your well being is important and needs to be taken care of.

Breathe deeply and be still

Be still and enjoy the calm. This could be in the form of mediation, I think it's a great way to de-clutter the mind. If your new to meditation I suggest downloading a guided meditation app to assist you. Take some deep breaths, be still and quietly reflect. If meditation doesn't interest you find a nice place to sit. This could be inside your home or outside somewhere, take a few breaths and enjoy the beauty of nature. Dedicate some time each day to slow your pace and enjoy the chill factor.

Have an amazing clutter free week xx
