Spring Day Time Makeup

Fresh looking and dewy makeup is my absolute favourite for spring/ summer time. I'm using the Urban Decay Smoky palette, although this is geared towards those that love a bold and off course a smoky eye, it also has some shades that are much more subtle and work beautifully as part of a day time makeup routine. The perfect palette to travel with if you ask me as it just has something to fit the bill for any occasion!

Before applying my foundation I used the Burberry Luminous Fluid Base, I only have a sample but I've fallen in love with using this on the high points of my face, it adds a fresh looking and natural dewy glow which is perfect for this time of year. My favourite foundation at the minute has been the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, this is such a fab foundation, it blends into the skin perfectly and leaves a natural looking light/ medium coverage base that lasts all day. I have oily but dehydrated skin and this works well for me as an everyday, long lasting base.

For blush I used the Josie Maran Cheek Gelee in Pink Escape, this is a really natural cool toned pink shade that adds a subtle but long lasting stain to my cheeks, it is really impressive how long lasting this is. Offcourse on top of all this I added extra highlighter, I used theBalm Mary-lou Manizer. This is my favourite spring/ summer time highlight, it is intense so by no means natural, but if you like a good glow and haven't tried this, you need it!

The shades I used from the Naked Smoky palette were High, Combusted and Thirteen, and then I smudged some of Whiskey along my top lash line with a pencil brush. They're all so highly pigmented, long lasting and generally amazing quality. I love wearing lighter eyeshadows in the day as they're less maintenance, whilst really helping to make my eyes look more awake, plus a lot bigger. I wanted a matte lip so opted for the Sephora Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve. This feels comfortable and the colour is the perfect muted pink, I've never been a fan of wearing pink lipstick but this is subtle enough and really works as the perfect everyday matte lipstick, plus it lasts for around 6-7 hours before needing touch ups!

It feel so good to be changing up my makeup for spring, have you made any changes to your routine?
