Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Review

The queen of glamour herself has gone and launched a beauty line and Joan Collins doesn't look this good at 82 by using any old products, so it only makes sense she bring out her own range. Complete with skincare, nail lacquers (in super extravagant pyramid packaging) and make up tools to aid flawless application - Joan has covered her bases, ready to take over the beauty industry. And before you make the assumption that because the woman is in her eighties that this is a range for the more "experienced" woman, you'd be wrong, it's for everyone.

I was kindly sent the Divine Lips lipstick in the shade "Lara" and the Class Act Mascara to review for y'all so let's get into it. The packaging is gold (obviously, this is Joan) and ribbed and reminds me a lot of the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick packaging - visually appealing, stands out from everything else running around in your make up bag and shows everything else up a bit (it's a good thing). The lipstick is definitely a sheer finish, I'd put the colour in a coral spectrum and it definitely felt moisturising. In a sea of matte lip finishes ruling the roost at the moment I'm not sure the sheer finish is for me but if you're into that I'd suggest you try it out.

The mascara is something else. So, on the box it actually claims to give you longer, thicker and fuller lashes if you wear one coat for 30 days and whilst I haven't put that to the test yet the mascara is actually amazing. It separates, it definitely isn't about that clumpy life, coats every lash, lengthens and volumises. The brush is similar to Too Faced's "Better Than Sex" legendary mascara but is actually easier to layer coats without causing clump straight away.

Joan Collins' Timeless Beauty range is available via QVC and Urban Retreat at Harrods
